What is the Attic Gym?
Mission
The Attic gym is dedicated to assisting firefighters and all occupational athletes to meet the physical demands of their profession through superior physical conditioning while reducing the chance of injury, and if injury occurs, the severity of that injury. We provide an open forum environment in order to share what we have learned and to encourage discussion regarding fitness within the occupational athletic environment.
Philosophy
To support all who desire to improve their fitness and performance, regardless of current physical limitations, age, fitness level, injury history or time constraints. We do this by providing a program with three fitness levels that systematically progress from beginner to elite. Our program can progress at the individuals own pace by using normal body movements, firefighters functional movements and applicable intensities for firefighters.
